My Christmas Elf

My awesome Holidays

On Sunday the 26th of September my family left to go to New York! From Nelson to Auckland it was a one hour flight, then from Auckland to Los Angeles was a twelve hour flight, then Los Angeles to New York was a six hour flight, I was so tired when we got there! On Wednesday my dad took us to the Natural History Museum. My brother and I saw the dinosaur that was in Night in the Museum! On Thursday we went to Washington DC! We were going out to dinner and it was pouring with rain and the police had closed off the road for some reason and there were secret service agents on the roof, in the end it turned out to be Barack Obama having dinner with one of his clients! I had a Awesome Holiday!

Our trip to New York!

On the 26th of September my family is going to New York! We will be going for two weeks. We will also be getting a tour of the White house from one of my mum's friend in Washington DC.
Before I was born my mum and dad worked in the U.S congress and they knew somebody that worked at the White house so now she will be taking us on a tour.
I will see my cousin there called Yolanda, who had come from germany(where she lives) to New Zealand to stay with us for a while last year. We wil be staying with my mum's friend Mulan and her family, I can't wait till we go!

A great weekend!

On Friday night my basketball team played agains the Nayland Devils. We won 50-26! I had to stay out till 7.00 because my brother's team was playing then and the other team was playing in between our team and my brothers team.Layla was coming for a sleepover so she stayed out at the staduim.
My brothers team won as well. For dinner we had sushi. Then we went to bed.I was really tired. The next morning Layla woke me up to ask what the noise was. "what noise?" I asked. It was raining and Layla and I could hear the thunder. Xavi (my dog) was barking, he sounded frightened, so Layla and I let Xavi in. When it stopped raining Layla and I went on he trampoline,then we tried playing tag with Xavi. (Exepect it didn't work!) Then we played soccer. Later Kelly came and picked Layla up.
At 6.30 we went to the Chan's for dinner.Sophie made macoroni cheese for us and we had pizza as well.After we played a game called Halo. It was funny!I had a great weekend

This year in room6.

This term a student teacher Matt will be teaching with Choi for five weeks.He was a teacher at Stoke school, broadgreen intermediate and heaps of other schools.
I moved up to Cylinder in maths. The groups are named after shapes, the are Cylinder, pyramid and sphere. Lots of things happened this year. Nearly all of my friends have had Birthdays. I only just had mine. I have done three ICAS tests, writing , spelling and reading. I'm in a basketball group called the Tigers. Every Friday we play at Jack Robin's stadium out at Stoke. I really enjoy being in Choi's class and I don't want to leave at the end of the year!

My birthday!

On Tuesday the 20th it was my 9th birthday.I got a skateboard, Madame's boutique and some stickers for my wall of birds. From my Grandma spongy hair tie,top and magnet earrings.
I had spare ribs for dinner and sponge cake. Isobel gave me a hairband and my mum's friend Martina put something in the mailbox.I had my party ages ago because Emily (my friend) was leaving on a huge trip around the world on the 13Th of July.We made cupcakes instead of having cake and we watched Toy Story 2 on T.V.We also had a Dance contest in my mum's study! I had a great birthday !

My weekend!

On Friday night we were going to the Giants game.Layla was coming with us.Layla's mum had brought us blue pompoms to support the Giants.When we got there the game had nearly started.The Giants were playing the Southland Sharks.If they won this game they would be able to have the home quarter final here in Nelson.I hoped they would win."go giants!" It was a bit annoying though because when the game stared Layla wanted to go sit somewhere else so I didn't get to the tip off.We saw Isobel and Mia.They won! It was a great weekend I'm going to the game on tuesday!
On sunday we had a basketball tournament. Our team (Layla,Isobel,Tayla,Josh,Luke and Danniel but danniel wasn't there) won the first game,lost the middle game and won the last game.I was so tiered after but it was really fun! I hope we have another tourament soon!
